Summer Programs at Cary Academy works with several corporate partners to provide transformative and enriching programming.  Partners are carefully selected based on professional knowledge, innovative program offerings, and ability to work witch children and teens.  Every instructor has been background checked.

Blue Monarch Art Center

The Blue Monarch Art Center, located in Cary, offers enriching classes in drawing, painting, pottery and mosaic work for adults and children. Owner and Instructor Catherine Griffin has twenty-six years of experience teaching art and directing community collaborative art-based projects. Blue Monarch Art Center believes that art is a second language that should be accessible to all, and that growth as an artist is nurtured by providing students with the tools, techniques, and basic foundations to express their individual ideas.

 

Bonsai Studios

Established in 2016 by Raleigh Aerial and Fitness instructors Amanda Richardson and Cary Academy Alumna Bonnye Talbot.  Bonsai Studios LLC is a safe and professional environment that provides classes, privates, and workshops to inspire fitness and artistic expression. Our professional instructors teach aerial silks, trapeze, flexibility, self defense, cardio fitness, hooping, dance, and much more!  Any age, level of experience, level of fitness is welcome into our community!

 

Bricks 4 Kidz

Bricks 4 Kidz® brings LEGO® Bricks and Technic® elements to life through its curriculum-based educational enrichment program that reinforces S.T.E.M. principles. Our programs provide an atmosphere for students to build motorized and unique creations and have fun as well by encouraging their curiosity and creativity through the use of fun-filled model plans designed by engineers and architects. Bricks 4 Kidz – North Raleigh was recently featured on Connect a Million Minds, and is part of a nationally renowned company with programs across the globe.

Cary School of Creative Arts

Cary School of Creative Arts (CSCA) is one of the largest private schools in the area and is dedicated to music and fine arts programs. Their philosophy, for students of all ages, is that learning music and art should be one of the most fun and exciting experiences that they participate in each week. Instructors from CSCA have been teaching for Summer Programs at Cary Academy for the past ten years, and are all working professionals in their respective fields: recording artists, touring musicians, college music professors, opera singers, and illustrators. CSCA offers year round classes for beginner to advanced participants in program areas that include: piano, digital keyboard, guitar, voice, composition, rock band, cartooning, anime, and illustration.

Costa Soccer Company

Costa Soccer Company, LLC, was formed by current Cary Academy Varsity boys and girls soccer coach Jeff Costa.  The company runs engaging soccer camps where sportsmanship and teamwork are stressed as much as skill development.  The hand-selected coaching staff is comprised of Cary Academy Varsity soccer players who have demonstrated their ability to be positive role models both on and off the field.

CraZBrain

CraZBrain Science Track Out and Summer Camps provides youth with the opportunity to explore and experience science when tracking out of year round schools in Wake County, NC.  Our RTP-based camps provide a unique environment where science concepts are explored through hands-on experiences in designing, building, problem solving, and re-creating.  Engaging camp themes including 007 Spy Camp, Crazy Contraptions, Outdoor Survival Skills, and Cooking-Carnivals-Chemistry keep the campers motivated and energized all week long.  Led by Chemistry Ph.D. and former Cary Academy teacher Aaron Rothrock, CraZBrain’s professional staff ensure all campers have a great time while they learn!

Good Grace’s Dog Treats, Inc.

Good Grace’s Dog Treats, Inc. is Cary’s own local handmade dog treat company.  Starting 5 years ago, with no experience as a baker or dog nutritionist, owner Blair McKinney taught herself everything there is to know about baking healthy treats, utilizing ingredients that have health benefits for dogs.  Now Good Grace’s sells their freshly baked dog treats at five local farmer’s markets, numerous local events and festivals, and nationwide in an online store.  In their first year with Summer Programs at Cary Academy, Good Grace’s Dog Treats, Inc. is excited to teach campers how to pamper their four legged friends.

IMACS

IMACS is an independent teaching and educational research institute based in Plantation, Florida. They have been in the Triangle area for thirteen years, and operate teaching facilities for precocious elementary and secondary school students throughout the United States. IMACS classes focus heavily on logical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and analytical skills. The program strives to help bright students to reach their full potential by presenting them with challenging material that is also fun and engaging.

Inis Cairde School of Irish Dance

The Inis Cairde School of Irish Dance has been dedicated to promoting and cultivating a love of traditional Irish dance, music and culture since 1999.  The school aims not only to develop a strong technical base in Irish step dancing at all levels, but also to cultivate self-confidence and a sense of personal achievement in all dancers.  Classes in both recreational and competitive Irish dance are offered at three different locations in the Triangle, and dancers of the school can be seen performing at various venues throughout the community.

 

iTech Camp

iTech Camp, formerly known as BounceU Technology Camp division under the popular birthday party venue BounceU, provides learning experiences through the use of technology to engage children and let their imaginations explore and have fun.  BounceU Technology Camp was named Best Track-out and Summer Camps by local parent magazines year after year.  They offer track-out camps, summer camps, and technology classes in the Triangle in Apex, Holly Springs and Raleigh.  This year in 2015 marks iTech Camp’s third year at Cary Academy.

 

Little Medical School

Little Medical School, founded in 2011 by Dr. Mary Mason, uses role play along with interactive demonstrations and crafts to provide hands on medical education and entertainment.  It consists of a diverse set of certified and tested programs that are S.T.E.M approved allowing children to explore a variety of healthcare professions.  Whether truly checking vital signs like a clinician, scrubbing in like a surgeon to tie surgical knots, or caring for a four legged furry pet, our program provides enrichment and fun for everyone.  The curriculum has been utilized as after school programs, summer camps, day programs, birthday parties, and special events in more than 1,000 schools, hospitals, and community organizations.  Little Medical School programs are created and adapted by real health care professionals inspiring children to aspire for a career as a future health care provider.

Little Scholars

Little Scholars is founded and run by early childhood specialists who are passionate about our mission of “Preparing, Developing, and Enriching Children.” Our programs are written by our company founder, Stephanie Jefferson, who is an elementary school teacher with vast experience in curriculum development.  Little Scholars programs encourage children from preschool to middle school age through hands-on enrichment programs, interactive and engaging summer camps, and personalized private tutoring.  Little Scholars instructors are teachers with classroom expertise and a degree in teaching or education.

Mad Science

Mid-South Fencers Club

Raleigh Little Theater

Raleigh Little Theatre (RLT) is a nonprofit organization using theatre to enrich, educate, entertain, and engage volunteers, students, and audiences of all ages. RLT is one of the oldest continuously operating community theatres in the country, offering entertainment, education, and community programs year-round. RLT had produced nearly 700 productions for all ages in its 80-year history. The organization serves 40,000 patrons at its main location near Cameron Village and thousands more are reached by education and outreach programs throughout Wake County.

Raleigh Tutoring

Raleigh Tutoring’s mission is to provide personalized instruction that helps students increase understanding of subject matter, acquire positive study habits, and boost self-esteem.  Our instructors are certified, experienced teachers.  We provide one-on-one tutoring for students in grades preK-12 in all subject areas and in SAT, ACT, study skills, and homework management.  We also lead fun and educational camps during the summer and throughout the school year.  Raleigh Tutoring is proud to be partnering with Summer Programs at Cary Academy for the fourth summer.

Sonorous Road Productions

Sonorous Road Productions is a new film and theater studio located in the heart of the Triangle just minutes from Cameron Village and NC State. The studio was founded by Michelle Wells, a professional actor and teacher who most recently has taught and performed in London and Boston. The studio consists of a 99-seat black box theater for theatrical productions as well as several classrooms, offices, and a cafe in a beautifully renovated building near downtown Raleigh. Sonorous Road offers weekly classes, track out camps, workshops, professional theater productions and more. So whether you want to learn about acting, directing, costume and makeup design, or the technical aspects of film making, you will be supported on that journey.

Techsplorers

Techsplorers provides STEM enrichment education for students in grades 2 through 12.  We believe that practical hands-on experience in a positive and nurturing environment is critical to developing a love of learning.  Our curriculum provides students with exciting, high-tech, hands-on activities that stimulate their interest in technology.  Our goal is for children of the digital generation to rediscover the self-esteem and cognitive benefits that come from tinkering on technical projects at home.

Triangle Chess

Triangle Chess is the largest chess organization in North Carolina supporting over 1,000 youth each year at over 40 schools in the Triangle area.  They have 15 different coaches with ratings from Class C up to International Master allowing them to improve youth at all different competitive levels.  Triangle Chess Center hosts weekly lessons, camps, tournaments, practice, and leagues located near I40 and I540.  Learn more at TriangleChess.com.

Youth Digital was founded in 2010 with a mission to teach participants how to use cutting-edge technology, and to provide them essential design and programming skills.  Through hands-on, interactive learning we help students make their own games, apps, mods and more, giving students the skills they need to succeed in the digital world.  We offer our students the interactive and creative technology education we wished for when we were kids.

 

XCel Tennis

XCELTENNIS is a professional tennis training company engaged in developing young players ages 6 – 18.  XCELTENNIS is currently offering individual and group training sessions at the Wimbledon Tennis Club in Cary, NC.  Designing creative intelligent environments where players can thrive to achieve their best performance drives the coaching philosophy of XCELTENNIS.
